John Charles was founded by designer Cherry Price in 1958, concentrating on special occasion wear. Known in the 1970s and 1980s for party and occasion dresses that had a decidedly feminine look. The label continues to be extremely successful today producing high end bridal, occasion and eveningwear, selling in exclusive boutiques worldwide. Pieces by the label today commonly retail in excess of £500-£1000

The piece on offer is truly elegant in a classic figure flattering column fit. Lightly hugging the bust waist and hips and falling to full length, with a 23'' split up from the hem. Embellished with two sexy inverted curve satin panels from bust to waist, which serve to visually slim the waist and create that gorgeous hourglass effect. Each panel has a lattice cross over with six gold and diamanté buckles. The dress is finished with satin straps with two satin covered buttons at the back detachable train wedding dress

A superb quality piece as you would expect from this acclaimed British designer label. Fully lined and boned with concealed zip fastening to the back and cups so that the dress can be comfortably worn without the need for a bra.

A wonderful piece in very good used vintage condition. There are two of the tiny diamanté missing so far as I can see - not at all noticeable unless you inspect up very closely.

Labelled a UK 12, but this is vintage sizing and she will best fit a UK sz 10, 34'' bust 27-28'' waist, 38'' hip. 47'' long from underarm to hem.
