He is neutered, and not deaf. He is horrified, and does not want to walk on a leash. But he is gentle and sweet. Someone please come adopt/rescue this sweet boy.

Baby Duncan had to be rushed to the vet Thursday. I came home to the poor lil guy dragging his hind legs. He was diagnosed with congenital vitamin deficiencies, and is on daily supplements until his condition is remedied.
A little background info....I adopted his pregnant mother Angie and his aunt Frieda (who is still on pregnancy watch) from poor conditions on December 15. Angie delivered three babies on January 18, and Duncan was the only pup who lived. The vet also recommended that I give the girls even more veggies than their customary cup per day.
Baby Duncan is eating well, pooping well, and very talkative. He is in no pain or discomfort. As you can see, he’s gotten very proficient at crawling.
I know that this condition can not be cured overnight, and the vet did tell me that the beginning of improvement would take at least three days, but I’m a worrier.
Has anyone had a pig with a vitamin deficiency, and how long did it take your lil guy/gal to get well?

Leslie Hathaway I once rescued a guinea pig from a pet store and she couldn't walk. I gently moved her legs back and forth and eventually she was able to walk. When I rescued her, she was in a tiny little cage that she could barely more in. Very sad. I would ask the vet first if this is okay for your pig. Wishing Duncan the best.

URGENT HOSPICE FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED..!!!

This little guy has an ulcerated mass on his chest. It is pretty big, considering how little he is.... The likelihood that it could be successfully removed is pretty slim. I honestly don't think he has much time left so it would be great to get him in to a loving home for his last days/weeks :-(

The first step in getting him out is finding a foster. And, of course, pledges to help with any vetting that would be done to figure out his quality of life.
